The PLCE Bergen was designed to carry a soldier's full field kit across long deployments, and that DNA shows. A cavernous 90-litre main compartment swallows sleeping systems, shelter, rations, and bulky cold-weather layers, while a pair of detachable 10-litre side pouches keep frequently-used gear at hand. Unclip the side pouches and clip them together and you have an instant day pack for patrols, summit pushes, or supply runs from a base camp — a feature that has made this Bergen a favourite of hikers and overlanders far outside the military world.

Construction is heavyweight IRR-treated nylon with reinforced stress points, military-grade buckles, and a drawcord-cinched throat under a generous storm flap. The top flap carries its own zip-close pocket for maps, documents, or a headtorch. Compression and lash straps run the length of the pack so a heavy load can be cinched tight and silent, and a lower back outer pocket gives quick access without opening the main body.
