Description
Genuine East German (NVA) summer field uniforms in the unmistakable Strichtarn "rain drop" camouflage — one of the most recognizable Cold War camouflage patterns ever issued. This two-piece BDU set includes a matching field jacket and trousers, originally issued to Nationale Volksarmee soldiers and now available as authentic surplus for collectors, reenactors, and outdoor enthusiasts who prefer real-deal issue kit over reproductions.
The Strichtarn pattern — short vertical brown dashes on a tan/olive ground — offers surprisingly effective concealment in dry brush, autumn woodland, and open field environments, making these suits a favorite among hunters, airsoft and paintball players, and preppers looking for something different from the usual woodland and multicam. The Cold War pedigree also drives strong pull-through with militaria collectors and Eastern Bloc reenactors, giving your shop a distinctive piece of camo history to offer.
Jacket Features
- Full front button placket with concealed fly for a clean silhouette
- Twin bellowed chest pockets with scalloped, button-down flaps
- Small buttoned utility pocket on the upper sleeve
- Shoulder epaulettes and open collar in classic NVA field-blouse cut
- Adjustable buttoned cuffs
- Pebbled metal buttons throughout — period-correct hardware
Trouser Features
- Cargo pockets on both thighs with buttoned flaps
- Reinforced knees and seat for hard field use
- Button-fly closure and buttoned ankle cuffs
- Belt loops for a standard issue or aftermarket belt
Fabric & Construction
Sturdy blended twill in a lightweight summer-weight construction — comfortable in warm weather while still standing up to brush, brambles, and repeated wear. The blend gives the fabric a soft, broken-in hand while retaining the crisp drape that makes Strichtarn so photogenic on the rack.
- Material: 40% cotton / 40% polyester / 20% polyamide twill
- Season: spring through early autumn; layer for cooler weather
- Origin: East German (DDR / NVA) military issue
Condition
Previously issued surplus. Expect honest field-use character — light wear, softening of the fabric, and minor variations in shade or markings from set to set. That lived-in authenticity is exactly what collectors and reenactors are looking for, and it gives the uniform an instant broken-in feel for outdoor and airsoft customers.
