Description
The East German Old Style Camo Combat Pack is a genuine piece of Cold War-era NVA (Nationale Volksarmee) field kit, issued to East German troops and instantly recognizable by its distinctive Blumentarn ("flower camouflage") pattern — the blotchy brown, tan, and green print that predated the better-known Strichtarn rain pattern. This is authentic surplus that saw service behind the Iron Curtain, not a modern remake, making it a strong pick for collectors, reenactors, and militaria shops.
Built as a compact combat pack, the bag features a top-loading main compartment secured by a full flap and two adjustable web straps with painted metal quick-release buckles. A sturdy web carry handle sits on top, and a clear ID/name card window on the flap adds to its unmistakable East Bloc issue character. The heavy cotton canvas shell is treated for weather resistance and shows the rugged, utilitarian construction typical of NVA field gear.

Condition
This is used surplus. Each pack shows honest signs of service life — fading, scuffs, storage marks, and patina on the hardware are part of the authenticity and vary from piece to piece. Frame it to your customers as the real deal with a story behind it, not factory-fresh gear.
