Description
The Mil-Tec Woodland Camo Trilam Sleeping Bag Cover is a waterproof, breathable bivy-style outer shell built to shield a sleeper and their bag from rain, wind, dew, and ground spray. It's a staple piece for hunters glassing from a high camp, hikers caught in shoulder-season weather, military surplus enthusiasts building out a modular sleep system, and preppers rounding out a bug-out kit. The generous cut accommodates most mummy and rectangular sleeping bags, making it an easy add-on sale for any customer who already owns a bag and wants to extend its capability into wetter conditions.
Three-Layer Trilaminate Protection
The cover is constructed from a true 3-layer laminate: a 96% polyester / 4% elastane face fabric printed in classic woodland camouflage, a breathable polyester membrane in the middle, and a 100% polyester inner backing. The result is a shell with a 5,000 mm water column rating and 500 g/m²/24 hours breathability — enough to block sustained rain while still letting body moisture escape so the bag inside stays dry from both directions.
Field-Ready Features
- 2-way side zipper for fast entry, ventilation, and foot access
- Snap fastener storm flap over the zipper line to block wind and water intrusion
- Elastic-cinched head opening with hook-and-loop closure for a snug seal around a hooded sleeping bag
- Generous mummy cut that fits a wide range of civilian and military sleeping bags
- Woodland camouflage upper for low-visibility field use; sand-colored underside

Why It Sells
This cover hits a sweet spot in the sleep-system category: it's affordable enough for a first-time backcountry buyer, capable enough for serious hunters and reenactors, and versatile enough to serve double duty as a standalone warm-weather bivy. The woodland pattern pairs naturally with surplus M81 gear and modular sleep systems, giving retailers a strong cross-sell with tactical sleeping bags, ground pads, and bivy shelters.
