Sturm collects business information from our wholesale dealer customers in order to establish and maintain B2B customer accounts. The information we collect includes:
- Company name and business address (billing and shipping)
- Contact email address and phone number
- Company role of the account contact (owner, buyer, manager, or other)
- Business license number and/or tax resale certificate number
- Order history and account transaction records

How We Use Your Information
Sturm uses the information described above for legitimate B2B business purposes, including:
- Establishing and maintaining your wholesale dealer account
- Processing, fulfilling, and shipping your orders
- Communicating with you about your orders, account, and shipments
- Providing customer service and technical support

- Improving the products and services we offer to our dealer network

Communications & Marketing
We may contact you by email, phone, SMS or text message, or other electronic messaging methods. These communications may include marketing, updates, events, promotions, system notifications, or service messages.
Email Opt-Out: To opt out of marketing emails, click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email you receive from Sturm. Please note that you may continue to receive non-marketing communications related to your account, orders, and shipments.

Shopping Experience Tracking
Sturm tracks your shopping activity on our website internally to better understand the needs of our dealer customers. This information is used to enhance the shopping experience, identify product opportunities, and increase customer retention. We may use this information to contact customers directly by phone or email with offers, recommendations, or service follow-ups relevant to their account.

Information Sharing
Sturm does not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or sell customer information to third parties for those parties’ marketing or commercial purposes.
Sturm may, however, disclose limited customer information in the following circumstances:
- In response to legal requests, investigations, or court orders (see Section 6)
- For credit evaluation, trade references, and collections activity (see Section 7)
- To service providers who help us operate our business (such as payment processors and shipping carriers) under appropriate confidentiality protections

Sturm may disclose information about you when, in Sturm’s opinion, such disclosure is necessary to comply with requests from law enforcement; to comply with applicable statutes, laws, rules, or regulations; to respond to court orders, subpoenas, or formal investigations; or to detect, prevent, or respond to fraud or other criminal activity.

Sturm may disclose limited customer account information to collections agencies, trade reference platforms, and industry partners in order to evaluate creditworthiness and enforce payment obligations. The information shared in these circumstances may include:
- Customer name and business address
- Contact information
- Account balances
- Credit performance information
- Past due amounts

Payment Information & Storage
As part of credit card payment processing, Sturm may store customer credit card information in a secure internal vault on a single workstation within our shipping department, used solely for order processing and re-billing of recurring or follow-up orders for the same customer.
Opt-out of credit card storage: If you do not want your credit card information stored on file, please notify Sturm in advance and we will process your payment without retaining the card details.

Data Retention
Sturm retains customer account files and associated records for a period of 10 years. This retention period supports our recordkeeping obligations, customer service continuity, credit history, and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
