Description
Authentic Soviet-issue leather holster for the legendary Nagant M1895 revolver — the sidearm that armed Russian and Soviet officers, cavalry, NKVD, police, and rear-echelon troops from the late Tsarist era through the Second World War and well into the Cold War. This is genuine surplus stock pulled from Russian military stores, complete with original Cyrillic depot stamps on the flap interior dated to the 1970s, reflecting the long postwar service life of the pattern.
The holster follows the classic Soviet Nagant profile — a rounded, teardrop-shaped body with an oversized curved flap that fully covers the revolver's grip and hammer. Constructed from pebble-grain brown leather with a canvas-lined flap interior, it features a brass stud closure, an integral leather lanyard tab at the top of the flap, and a small internal pouch for spare cartridges or a cleaning rod. Two wide belt loops and a lower retention strap on the back hold it securely on a standard officer's belt in the traditional cross-draw carry position.

Condition
This is used surplus. Each piece carries honest field-use character — scuffs, creasing, patina on the hardware, and softening of the leather from years of service. That authentic wear is exactly what collectors and reenactors want: real provenance, not a modern remake. Because these were drawn from military stores, individual markings, shading, and condition will vary from piece to piece.
A strong, low-cost impulse item for any store carrying militaria, C&R firearms accessories, Soviet or WWII collectibles, or Eastern Bloc surplus. Displays beautifully on a peg or in a case and pairs naturally with Nagant revolvers, Soviet belts, and Red Army field gear.
