Description
The US GI Digital Woodland / Coyote Reversible Tarp is authentic, original-issue United States Marine Corps field gear — the same lightweight multipurpose shelter carried by Marines as part of their standard field kit. One side is printed in the iconic Woodland MARPAT digital camouflage for forested and temperate environments; flip it over and you get a solid coyote brown face that blends into arid, desert, and transitional terrain. That two-in-one capability is what makes this piece such a strong seller — one tarp, two environments, real USMC provenance.
Built from lightweight ripstop nylon, this tarp is designed to be packed small and deployed fast. End users rig it as a rain fly, hasty shelter, ground cloth, gear cover, hunting blind, glassing pad, or camouflage screen. Grommets at the corners and edges accept paracord, bungees, or tent stakes, while nylon snaps along the perimeter let two or more tarps be joined together to build larger shelters — a feature Marines use in the field and one that appeals directly to preppers, bushcrafters, and backcountry campers who want a modular shelter system.
Who It Sells To
- Hunters and bowhunters building ground blinds or covering gear in camp
- Backpackers, bushcrafters, and ultralight campers looking for a compact rain fly or tarp shelter
- Airsoft and paintball players needing field concealment and hasty cover
- Preppers and bug-out kit builders adding multi-purpose shelter material
- Military surplus collectors and USMC veterans seeking genuine issued MARPAT gear
- Reenactors and loadout builders completing an authentic GWOT-era Marine kit
Key Features
- Genuine USMC issue — original US Government contract tarp, not a copy
- Reversible Woodland MARPAT digital camo on one side, coyote brown on the reverse
- Dimensions: approximately 90" x 80"
- Lightweight ripstop nylon construction — roughly 1.9 oz per square yard
- 8 reinforced grommets for staking, guy-lining, and rigging
- 24 nylon snaps around the edges for linking multiple tarps into larger shelter systems
- Non-reflective, abrasion-resistant fabric suited to low-signature field use
Condition
This is used surplus. Each tarp has seen genuine service and will show honest field character — wrinkles, faded print in areas, minor scuffs, and period-correct hardware patina are all normal and part of the authenticity that separates real issued gear from anything else on the market. Grommets and snaps are intact and functional.
