Description
Genuine U.S. GI issue, the Medium Rucksack in OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) is one of the workhorse packs of the modern American soldier. Built to the MOLLE II specification and issued through the Defense Logistics Agency to troops in every branch, this pack is engineered to haul a full combat load through the harshest environments on earth. This is the real thing — authentic surplus that has served, complete with frame, harness, and sustainment pouches — not a commercial copy. The visible "US" stencil and "DRMO" markings on the pack confirm its legitimate government provenance.
For your customers, this rucksack sells itself. Hunters chasing elk across public land, backcountry campers on multi-day loops, preppers building bug-out kits, airsoft and milsim players kitting up for weekend ops, reenactors and collectors documenting the Global War on Terror era — every one of these buyers recognizes the MOLLE II Medium Ruck on sight and knows what it can do. Set it next to your civilian daypacks and it moves. Priced for the surplus shelf, it moves even faster.
Built to Military Specification
The pack body is constructed from water-resistant 900-denier CORDURA ripstop nylon over a molded polymer internal frame rated to carry up to 60 lbs. of gear. The padded shoulder harness and removable waist belt transfer load off the shoulders and onto the hips for long-distance humps under a full kit. A reinforced top carry handle makes for fast grab-and-go movement between vehicles, aircraft, and objectives.
Compartments and Storage
- Main compartment: approx. 21" x 15" x 11", with an internal harness assembly originally designed for the ASIP radio, plus dedicated internal sleeves sized for 60mm mortar rounds — equally useful for civilian buyers as rifle-cleaning tube storage, tripod pockets, or organized long-item stowage.
- Two large external zip pockets on the face of the pack, one stacked over the other, each with additional interior organization.
- Internal hydration sleeve to accept a standard reservoir (bladder not included).
- Sustainment pouches on both sides for extending capacity or organizing sub-loads.
- Total capacity: approximately 3,000 cubic inches.
MOLLE / PALS Compatibility
Rows of PALS webbing run down the sides and across the lower face of the pack, letting the end user add pouches, holsters, medical kits, admin panels, and any other MOLLE-compatible accessory. Two side-release compression straps cinch external loads — sleeping pads, jackets, breaching tools — directly to the pack. Three hook-and-loop ports route hydration tubes, antenna leads, or comms wire cleanly out of the main compartment.
Condition — Genuine Used Surplus
This is authentic used U.S. military issue. Expect honest field-use character: scuffing, faded print, minor stains, hook-and-loop wear, and period-correct hardware patina are normal and speak to the pack's real service history. Structural components — frame, straps, buckles, and zippers — remain fully serviceable. This is exactly what the collector, reenactor, and no-nonsense outdoorsman is looking for.
