Description
Give your customers the same self-inflating ground pad that has been trusted by U.S. troops in the field for decades. This is genuine U.S. GI issue, manufactured by Cascade Designs (the parent company behind Therm-a-Rest) to strict U.S. military specifications and pulled from military supply channels. It's the real thing — not a commercial lookalike — and carries the authentic provenance that surplus buyers, preppers, and collectors recognize on sight.
The mat uses proven open-cell foam bonded to a bonded urethane interior, so when the valve is opened it draws in air and self-inflates to a comfortable 1.5" of insulating loft. That thickness lifts the sleeper off cold, hard, uneven ground and adds a critical layer of insulation against conductive heat loss — the difference between a rough night and a rested one on deployment, a hunt, or a backcountry camp. A heavy-duty outer shell stands up to tent floors, cot slats, truck beds, and bivy use.
Built for the Field
- Full sleeping length: 72" long x 20" wide — sized for an adult sleeper
- Packable: rolls down to roughly 5" in diameter and weighs under 2 lbs.
- Self-inflating valve for fast setup after a long day on the move
- Bonded urethane interior with heavy-duty exterior fabric
- NSN 8465-01-393-6515 — a stock number recognized across military and government supply chains
- Country of origin: U.S.A.
Authentic Surplus Condition
These mats are used, genuine-issue and show honest field-use character — expect surface scuffs, creasing, and variation in shade across olive drab, foliage green, and olive green tones. That patina is part of the story: this pad has served. Because these come from military stocks, color cannot be chosen.
Who It Sells To
A strong stock item for shops serving hunters, backcountry campers, backpackers, preppers building out bug-out kits, military surplus collectors, reenactors, and airsoft/milsim players who want authentic issue kit under their sleeping bag. Pairs naturally with surplus sleep systems, poncho liners, bivy covers, and shelter halves you already carry.
