Description
The US Repro WWII M43 Combat Boots are a faithful reproduction of the iconic "double-buckle" boot that replaced the old service shoe and canvas legging combination in the closing years of World War II. First issued to American GIs in late 1943, the M43 quickly became a defining piece of WWII kit — worn from the hedgerows of Normandy through the Bulge and into the final push across Germany. This reproduction captures that look and feel for collectors, reenactors, and surplus enthusiasts looking for an authentic period-correct boot.
The two-piece construction is exactly as it was eighty years ago: a russet suede (rough-out) cow leather lace-up shoe is married to an integrated smooth-leather gaiter cuff that wraps the lower calf and closes with two buckled straps on the outside. Eight pairs of metal eyelets and cotton laces secure the foot, while heavy contrast stitching down the vamp, around the heel counter, and along the welt reinforces the seams and gives the boot its signature 1940s silhouette. A rubber outsole with a diamond-pattern tread and traditional hobnail-style heel studs adds modern grip without breaking the vintage look — and the molded "U.S. ARMY" lettering on the underside is a nice authenticity touch your customers will spot right away.
Who It Sells To

- Militaria collectors who want a wearable example to display alongside original uniforms and field gear.
- Surplus and heritage-fashion buyers drawn to rugged, period-correct leather boots that pair just as well with raw denim and a field jacket as they do with full kit.
- Living history museums, film and theater wardrobe departments, and military-themed event organizers.

Why It Belongs in Your Range
Authentic WWII reproduction footwear is a category with steady, evergreen demand — reenactor groups, history clubs, and collector forums actively recommend correct M43s, and there are far fewer quality reproductions on the market than there are demands for them. These boots also cross over neatly into the vintage workwear and military-fashion crowd, broadening the customer base beyond pure history buffs. Stocked in a full size run, they move as a destination item for serious customers and as a strong impulse upsell beside HBT shirts, M43 field jackets, garrison caps, and other WWII US repro kit.
