Description
Genuine U.S. GI issue — this is the original M1-pattern belt pouch used by American forces to carry spare ammunition on the cartridge belt or pistol belt. Stamped U.S. on the flap and bearing period contractor markings (the example shown is marked Avery 1945), it's the real thing straight from military stores — not a modern remake. For collectors, reenactors, and WWII/Korea-era living historians, authentic dated pouches like this are the cornerstone of a correct field impression.
Constructed in the classic olive drab cotton canvas webbing of the period, the pouch has a two-compartment layout closed by a single arched flap with a lift-the-dot snap. A secondary internal retention tab with its own snap keeps the contents from bouncing loose in the field. On the reverse, integrated wire belt hooks and lower securing snaps let it ride flat and stable on a standard GI web belt.
