Description
The USGI M-65 Field Jacket Liner is one of the most recognizable pieces of American military cold-weather kit ever issued. Built to zip or button into the iconic M-65 field jacket, this quilted insulating layer added the warmth that turned a three-season shell into a true cold-weather system for GIs from Vietnam through Desert Storm and beyond. These are genuine U.S. government issue liners in used condition — pulled from service, inspected, and ready for a second life with collectors, reenactors, hunters, and anyone who wants the real article rather than a copy.
The construction is unmistakable: lightweight olive drab nylon quilted in the signature wavy "onion skin" pattern over a lofted polyester batting core. The result is a lot of warmth for very little weight and bulk — the whole liner compresses down small enough to stuff in a daypack or cargo pocket. Button loops run down the front placket and around the collar and cuffs to mate with the host M-65 jacket, and the collarless cut keeps bulk off the neck when worn under a shell.
Why your customers want this liner
- Veterans and collectors looking for the authentic issue piece they wore or want to display — not a reproduction.
- Reenactors and living historians covering Vietnam, Cold War, GWOT and Desert Storm impressions.
- Hunters, campers and preppers who want a proven, packable mid-layer for stand hunting, late-season camp, or a bug-out bag.
- Fashion and workwear buyers — the quilted M-65 liner has become a streetwear staple worn as a standalone lightweight jacket over hoodies and tees.
- Airsoft and milsim players building out period-correct loadouts on a budget.
